Hi folks,
I need to replace the packing on the shaft on my 82 2001. It has the 1" Drive shaft so does anyone know what the correct dia should be for the flax?

I called skidimm and they told me is the 3/16. I bought the http://skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=GFO3/16X24 - gore-tex since is the best deal right now and the most recommended. I have an 87 SN 2001.

Is there any chance the rudder box uses the same dia? Thats leaking a bit too.

I have heard about different sizes but when I call skidim they told me is the same size. I bought the ame size but I haven't install it yet.
