Hey guy's I'm surprised no one has addressed this yet but are any of you who store your boats on a lift or outside (mine is in the garage) having problems with gas theft? Is there a locking gas cap for our boats?
There was a ATL news report a few days ago about gas theft on the rise in the town that I live in. The thieves are siphoning gas out of older vehicles ( new ones have tank baffles) or have even punctured tanks with screw drivers to drain the precious liquid out. Almost like something out of a MADD MAX movie..
On another note, our Church van was robbed of its Catalytic Converter last week. Found it when we went to take the Teens to Dairy Queen and the Van sounded like a Dragster starting up. We got off easy as the bastards hit all 4 vans at a church a mile from the house.

i didnt realize catalytic converters got that kinda money, no wonder they swipe them, guys have been siphoning gas from our lot for years especially on the u-hauls and boats, I have cameras and basically all you can do is watch them because they are so hard to identify

That happens over here too.
They even steal your house warming fuel out of onderground tanks...
And at the prices fuel goes over here...

they caught a guy with a fifth wheel parking over the fill spouts at gas stations, i guess he had 2000 gallons in the back, he would drop a hose right in and fill er up

Most newer car converters go for $100+. Dropped two cars and a GMC truck off at the scrap yard Tuesday and got almost $1100. Around us the bastards are drilling holes in gas tanks to get the fuel.

Would be nice if a spark from the drills motor brushes took care of them.

Might be getting worse. CNN is reporting that oil may $150 a barrel by July 4th and $200 by summers end. Better start stock piling those 5 gallon gas cans.

I do hear we are building a refinery in the plains area???
this gas *************** is getting out of hand, I find myself setting the cruise on 60 and gliding on the off ramps, I wont use turn signals because it puts a load on the altenator burning even more gas lol,
like a balloon, you can only blow it up so far
