My 1981 Barefoot Restoration was derailed several months ago when I sliced my leg open with a grinder. It took a while to get over that mishap. The very next time I felt froggy enough to jump back on it I had not been grinding on it for more than an hour when I threw by back out! That sent me back to the hospital. I was starting the think the thing had a curse on it,and I was afraid to go near it with out a crucifix in front of me. Then I took the time to review the artistry of The Buffalo's BFN project and it motivated me like the promise of... well you know

Thanks again BJ...and I ran out of foam on Friday the 13th?!!? LOL
I think it's because these BFN's don't want to be called easy!

One of the great advantages I have is living in a boating mecca. Fiberglass coatings is fifteen minutes from me. Probably the biggest reason I restore with all composite material.

BJ, get the masking tape out and put a big cross on the bow, that should do her.
I may have missed it, but what do you plan on repowering it with?

You tell me. As you may know it came with a PCM 351. Since it will be the last thing I do I have not decided yet. I do know the local marine distributors ar hurting now and I saw a circular offering a Chev 8.1 liter w/trans for less than 10k. Point being, with fuel cost going up I have options. Got any ideas?

Hasbeen, one of the guy's from the site has a drop in 351 with less then 500 hours on it, it has the WP,starter, Alt, borg bellhousing and so on...he is checking if it is a GT motor....its a righty, it does need manifolds because they are missing. If your interested he has it reasonably priced and is within driving distance of you

Eric I have a couple of RHR PCM 351's with B.W. trannys. I may over haul one of them and drop it back in. I have lots of time to ponder the power plant.
