Ok, so I need to upgrade the original alternator on my boat because of a system that I have just put in. I have a ski nautique 2001, and now I have put a pro 485 on the tower and have 4 XS-650's for the interior. I have about 1000 amps rms going to these speakers and was wondering how much bigger of an alternator do I need. Any recommendations?

You have the ouput spec so you should have a amp spec on the full load input. Add it to the existing alternator output plus some extra if you plan on having it turned on without the engine running.
