Has anyone installed a system like the holley Marine Pro-Jection system on there older carbed boat? To me it sounds like a winner but I thought I would check with you guys first.
Thanks Sam

This has been discussed before here. I had a friend back home with a BFN that he tried putting fuel injection on. This guy knows his way around engines mind you and we also have mutual friends who are mechanics. He spent months trying to get that thing to run right. Took it to three different shops after our friends spent an equal amount of time on it. He ended up pulling the FI and putting a carbed 502 into it.
Moral of the story is;
If you want FI, sell your boat and buy one with it. The money that you would spend on a FI kit could be used to bump the HP on your carbed engine by at least 50 or 60HP and get your carb dialed in to run just as good if not better than a FI equipped engine.

that system looks a little undersized as well. Stang's buddy Brian has done it not sure if he used a holley or not but It would be worth your while to head to GL for the reunion and talk to him about it and check out his set-up.
throttle body injection was never very good at all just cost effective at the time basicly a retro fitting to existing engine designs.

The previous owner of my boat tried the holley pro jection on it. He ended up putting a carb back on it.
I wish he had kept that pro jecton and included it with the boat, since I would have figured it out. The guy wasn't too mechanically minded from what I hear.
I bought my boat from the local CC dealer, and that was the story I was told.
Honestly, a properly set up carb CAN make more power than an EFI, for less $$.
