Brian, I was just wondering when you taking off from the west coast. How many days are you planning to take to make the trip?
Doc, How about you?

Haven't quite decided yet Pete. With the baby, it's at least 3 days. We'll probably stop by Mt. Rushmore on the way out.

Brian
Hope you and the family have a safe trip. It will definitely be an unforgettable experience.
BTW...do you ever surf with your boat? That's something I've always wanted to try. The CC guys haven't had surf boards the last 2 years. Just curious.

I have never surfed my boat. However, I am bringing a surfboard and surf rope to Green Lake. The maiden surf if you will. The only problem is, I will not be bringing extra ballast. If we can't make it work with stock ballast and people, then we are S.O.L. I'm not the biggest fan of wakesurfing, but it's something to do that doesn't hurt my back. I figured the gang at Green Lake might have fun with it. BKH

Sweet. I can't imagine with all the bodies there, it wouldn't be enough weight.

In as well. It's a riot. You won't need more than a few bodies and stock ballast. We've done it behind a ski boat.

I've been aching to try surfing if you'll give a hardcore noob a few stabs at it.

Beginning to think I should leave all the other gear at home and just bring the surfboard. We'll let as many try as we can.
I've wakesurfed a handful of times myself and never on this board or boat.
Doc, I thought the BBQ was Thursday?

Brian,
I don't know if you've been there before, but the badlands around Rushmore are a beautiful sight.
Safe travels to you, looking forward to catching up with you.

I was there 35 years ago Chuck. Looking forward to seeing it again.
Looking forward to meeting you in person. Wish I could help with your engine troubles, but even if I were there I'd probably do more harm than good.
See you next week.
