I am looking for a trailer for an 1976 18 ft. Southwind. Don't know if the original is a 3DV or a 4DV. Would prefer to buy a new alum or galvanized trailer. Does a CC fan know of a trailer manufacturer or dealer in the Southeast that has a trailer to fit this boat? Need trailer model number or trailer specs to fit the Southwind. Thanks.

By all means check out TechSun on I-45 South, League City, Texas. You will not regret it. All there trailers are custom built. They have a website that shows some pics. My trailer is getting the finishing touchs - I am to pick it up Monday.

TechSun has a special package called a "Ski Package" for inboards with a rudder/prop protector designed in.

Be sure to spring for the aluminum mags. They are worth the few dollars more imho.

Tell them the guy with the little old blue inboard sent you - that's what they know me as.

Tom,

Did you have any luck finding a trailer? I am in the same boat with a Southwind 20. I am working with a dealer. He has found that Prestige trailer (www.prestigetrailer.com) custom builds trailers for inboards. They are reasonable, too.
