What year was the TSC 1 hull introduced and what year was the TSC2 hull introduced? When is the next hull change expected to come out?

For Ski Nautiques

TSC 1 - 97
TSC 2 - 02

The next gen is already out. TSC3. Can't remember the year. Think it was 06, put not positive.

Yup, TSC3 debuted in '06. It incorporated the hydrogate and eliminated some lifting strakes towards the rear of the hull. I think the primary reason for the change was to improve the trick wake- supposedly the slalom wake is unchanged from the TSC2 (with the gate in the down position).

Dudes, the 2002 Ski Nautique Open Bow was a TSC1 hull you both know that.

I believe you had an option on the TSC2 or TSC3 hull for 2006. The TSC3 w/o lifting strakes is essentially a TSC2 hull with a hydrogate.

Yeah, for the TSC3 they just righted their wrongs by going back to a TSC 1 design with a pocket in the keel for the hydrogate

We don't need no stinkin' lifting strakes. Leave those for the "M" boats.

Hollywood, that blue boat with the Hydrogate and the lifting strakes....is it a 196 or what? Reason I ask is that I have an '08 196 with Hydrogate, but my wife thinks the wake is too large at her slow slalom speed of 26. She loved our '02 with TSC2 hull. I was even considering contacting CC to see if they could build a new 196 like that. (For now, I just putting a 45-lb disc up in the nose; running the gas out of the tank to lighten up the stern; speeding her up to 28; and giving her a longer rope to see if I can get her blessing. :) Any other suggestions?)

How much difference in slalom wake is there from the TSC 1 to the 2?

If you're not a nationally ranked slalom or trick skier, then call it . . . . none.

I don't recall there being a huge difference between the TSC1 and TSC2 hulls, but there was some. My wife is very sensitive to wake shape because of an ankle tendon injury (dancing), and I can say that the TSC2 hull on our 2002 "196" was butter soft. Prior boat was 1997 "196"
