Well since Brian has changed jobs and may not be coming into the area like he used to, I guess I'll start the question. With fall here and our season pretty much comming to a end aren't we due to get together? Powers Lake group? Alan? Chris? I know Dave's up for it!! Anyone else? Time and place? Chris, I know for you the most convenient is getting off the train in Glenview.

Wish I could be there Pete. Looks like I'll be turning my attention toward Texas this year. Hope to hoist a few with Dallas based fans in the coming months. BKH

Come on Pete, fall doesn't start until next week! Just changed the oil last night to get us through the rest of the season. I'm good for a few drinks on any Monday or Tuesday like we've typically done in the past.

For you Joel courtesy of Joe Walsh. BKH

I'm just an ordinary average guy
My friends are all boring
And so am I
We're just ordinary average guys

We all live ordinary average lives
With average kids
And average wives

We all go bowling at the bowling lanes
Drink a few beers
Bowl a few frames

We're just ordinary average guys
Ordinary average guys

And every Saturday we work in the yard
Pick up the dog do
Hope that it's hard (whaf whaf)

Take out the garbage and clean out the garage
My friend's got a Chrysler
I've got a Dodge

We're just ordinary average guys
Ordinary average guys
Ordinary average guy
Ordinary average guy
Ordinary average guy
Ordinary average average guys

Always like Trivia Doc,

The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get.
Pretty sure that's the album that featured Rocky Mountain Way. I've always like that song, but I never owned the album.

I don't know if the song Ordinary Average Guy appeared on other albums, but I have it on an album titled Ordinary Average Guy.

Dave,
Any ideas? I'm probably the most flexible and with me it really doesn't matter what day of the week we get together. Maybe we should postpone it - we have got a response but not much like we normally do. To much from the weekend activities???

Greg,
Good one!! He does deserve it. What's that saying? "Turnabout is fair game" or something like that.

I wish we lived closer so that we could spend more time with the 81nautique family and many of the other great people we've met here. BKH

I just signed up for a last minute Chicago blitz this weekend with some buddies- Ill probably be out and about on Thurs and Fri nites, then heading up to GB on Sat. Im coming in fairly early tomorrow- if anyone will be in the downtown area and wants to meet for beers for lunch or anytime in the afternoon, let me know! Ive never been in the city before- so Ill just assume I could fumble my way through the public transit system without too much trouble.

Chris, I wrote the above statement very carefully - you can also interpret it to mean you know where all the gay bars are so you can avoid them!! When my dad was still living, I always enjoyed hearing the story about when he and a good friend inadvertently walked into one, ordered a drink at the bar and then looked around the place!!!

Ok, this time we're making some progress! We have the long distance guys too.
Glenview house Thurs. the 23rd at 5-5:30.

Long time ago I used to drive down to Mass. to visit family and there was this long strip with a lot of clubs along the way. I used to stop at a well known one every time I went down. One time I decided to check out this little sort of obscure one, The Silver Dollar, figuring it would probably be kind of rank, like the hoochie coochie shows used to be at our local fairs. Well the women didn't look quite right, and when one sat down next to me at the bar and said, "hi my name is Steve", it was time to get the heck out of there.

Eric, this was back in the late 70's when I was about 20 or 21. It was a compeletely different world back then and that sort of thing was unheard of, at least in Maine anyway. Damnest thing I ever saw. Lesson learned: don't be wondering into strange clubs.

I'm in for monthly get together. If we pick a specific day of month, like the 1st Monday of each month, I could schedule around it pretty easily.

Thanks for a great time guys. It was great to see the guys that I met before, and very nice to meet Steve and Pete. You guys always making us feel welcome. Now that my wife has a feel for how nice everyone on the site is, I have a much better chance on making Green Lake (Thanks Dave). Let me know about the monthly get together, I'd definitely be for that.

It's always fun to get together with CCfan family. I too enjoyed putting some screen names together with faces and meeting Copcraft (Dave) and Gotwake (Ken).

I'm up for more frequent get togethers especially with the winter months coming up.

I should be able to head down sometime in December. A two week notice is helpful.

Fridays in December would be difficult for me. I'd have a better shot if it was mid-week.

If not, January should be a little more open.

New location...Brat Stop, anyone? hahaha...
