Subject: Removing 82 nautique combing pads - Help!

I received some great help last time, but need a litte more on this subject. I am removing the combing pads on my 82 nautique.

The passenger side, came out with no problems. Each stud had butterfly clip on it, and I removed the armrest pads via 2 threaded studs with nuts.

However I can get the driver side combing pad off. I removed all the butterfly clips, but just in front of the throttle lever it is attached somehow. I removed the three screws to allow the throttle control to move around, but it still attached somehow to that area.

Is the throttle mechanism attached to the pad somehow, is there a bolt going through somewhere? I look hard and cant figure it out.

Also how do you remove the throttle lever, and the throttle knob from the lever. Thanks and I would appreciate any help again.

thanks
Jason

The throttle lever is removed via a allen set screw on the bottom side of the base of the lever. I believe the knob simply screws off.

Keep looking for the screws or nuts or clips that may be holding that pad in place.

Sometimes the knob has an allen set screw in it too (then it screws off).
