I took some slight damage to the skier during a wind storm. About a 2 foot section of the hard plastic rub rail mount broke off the boat. My Skier has the rubber rub rail. Looking over the boat, it appears these hard plastic mounts come in sections. Any idea on where to get them. I called Elan, but no word back from them. Do the 80's vintage correct crafts have a similar mount? I can post of pic if that helps.

thanks

Mark, I'm assuming you don't have the original style rub rail. Is it something like this?

Where have you been looking? Here's a link to West. They carry the Taco who makes most of the rub rails. You can just get the plastic insert too.

The rub rail that is on my boat is original equipment. Thanks for the link. Didn't even think of WM. But the pic you sent looks like what is on my boat. I'll take a measurement and give 'em a call.

thanks

Remind us what boat you have? The only Skiers that come to mind are the ones from the 60's and 70's- and those had aluminum rub rails.

That's what through me too! I went back and did a ultrarunner search and found a reference to a 80 Tique. Mark, is that the boat? Wouldn't it have had the rope insert rail?

Looks like he called Elan about it, so I assume it is an American Skier. I thought Elan was out of business.
