This is regarding a post I started last week...I am hoping someone may ID this outboard in the photos. The photo was taken in either the summer of '71 or '72 on Ossipee Lake in NH. The photo which was taken by my dad shows me standing in an old pram at our dock...this green boat just happened to be idling off shore at the same time...it was a very fast O/B at the time...it had a '70? Johnson 115 or 125hp. The boat was entirely dark olive green and the hull was a V-hull and not a bowrider, though it had bow rails. The convertible top was buggy-style and in the pix was rolled up on the windshield. The pix are fuzzy/unclear due to cropping/enlarging the boat on my scanner to show it up close. Originally, the entire photo was on a "slide" and I had it copied to a 4X6 photo years ago. I know this is a shot in the dark but I'm confident someone may know the make of this boat. My brother had a very fast OB before he found his first Nautique. It had lines very similar to what I can see on your picture. Very rackish looking with a almost flat windshield. Good looking boat. It was a '70 Slickcraft. They used to have some pictures on a site called Fiberclassics (I think). He lurks on here, maybe he'll see this and post an old picture. I know he has some. Actually has the greatest collection of old pictures.

Looks like those Slickcrafts used to be hot boats in the 70s!

I'd have to say that the mystery boat is not a Slickcraft...close though, very close...the mystery boat definetly had that molded lapstrake hull and I'm positive that it had a split windshield instead of one solid piece and a bow rail. Thanks Kevin for the pictures. I am pretty sure my brother's was a SS-170 with a 115 hp motor. Was pretty fast. I liked the flat windshield. They were a very good looking boat for the era. But of course as soon as he found his first C/C...well that was it for the OB's.

There were a couple of them out here on the Fox back in the day,very quite boats,the I/O's anyway,the water hitting the hull seemed louder than the engine.
