He dosn't turn his engine which is also flat head gray 4cly over 3000 rpms. He paid to have his engine put on a dyno after being rebuilt. The power numbers really dropped off after 3000. So much more than 3000 wouldn't really be of much advantage. His numbers were 86hp & 116lb ft of tourque @ 2600 rpm.
