Wedge,

This is normally a sign of bad stringers. There are four long wooded supports in the bottom of the boat that are covered in Fiberglass. The Motor sits on two of them. The stringers probably need to be replaced. There are several threads on this site that show you how to replace them.

I hope this helps,

Donald

Wedge,

Still sounds like bad stringers. There is a lot of info on this site about it.
Why do you want to sell it. Summer is near.

Thomas,
Read what Don said again. He didn't say anything to correlate the location of the cracking in relationship to the location of the stringers. He simply stated it's normally a sign of bad stringers!

I'd bet you have got bad stringers!!!

How about posting some pictures.

now you will disclose to the new buyer the stringers are probably bad, and its not quite worth what you are asking for it?

I agree that gelcoat cracking can often point to rotten stringers, but I believe 1987 was also an off year for CC's gelcoat. Most of the '87's that Ive seen are covered in cracks- much more so than any other year. They cant ALL have mush for stringers.

Eric, as always- it depends on the price.
