info deemed pretty reliable, Left hand, 115 hours, 310 @ 4200, pro-tech,
includes Alt, WP, Starter, 4160, cast intake was removed edelbrock installed, no exhaust manifolds the engine that replaced this engine was a drop in from PCM and was replaced because of a bad diagnosis, and customer was billed $7500.00 I need to pull this engine out of the boat and if more details are needed please call 877-369-6693 TR maybe you can comment on the year because of the pro-tech on it, it does have the red valve covers w/ aluminum fins i will have a price this week sometime Eric ------------- "the things you own will start to own you" |

I may have to keep close to this thread. My motor was making some "not so nice noises" today and it almost sounds internal. Todd, its at my shop here in Ohio, I believe it was from a 1997, it was very very clean when i pulled the intake 4 years ago, a guy bought it from me and installed it into his Sea-Ray, he wanted me to finish the job and brought the boat here and i told him i refused to work on the boat because of the rot, it sat and i sold him my Wellcraft Nova. now he brought the boat back to pull the drive and engine in hopes to re-coup some of his OOP, out of pocket at the time i sold it for close to 3k becasue it had everything hanging on it, even the belts, its complete but needs a little clean up. i think its a good deal if someone needs a complete, it has the alt on it, starter, clean 4160....I would probably update the intake because he used the one from his boat,
It sounds as if you have a damper problem and not an engine problem, hopefully this engine will sell to someone that needs one, just wanted to post some more details about it ------------- "the things you own will start to own you" |

Eric, based on the valve covers, its probably a 93-95. PCM installed the Pro-Tec from 91-95, I believe.
The hp rating for the carb'd version was either 285 or 300 based on whose literature you believe, and WOT RPM was 4800 (not 4200). The carbed HO 351w was known as the "Pro Boss", which is not to be confused with the "GT40", which was the multiport EFI version- although both used GT40 heads. ------------- |

Lucho shipping would be the easiest part of the quest...I would be more concern on how to get it through customs and paperwork to have it ok to legally do a swap....(even more difficult being used)
I have a shipper that can have it here for the 50% of it fob value...but no papers at all!!! I guess you could do a poncho on the numbers and thats it...but I wouldn´t be mind safe knowing I have that kind of issues..... But yes Its a nice engine to dream on 
no less than 6k for something like that here  a little bit more with the manifolds...lol

eric is it possible you can post some pics of the engine? I'm considering the possibility of getting it....but i need to be sure the engine is ok... I'm waiting my fowarder how much would it cost me to have the engine shipped door to door. Do you have the approx weigth of it?

I just spoked to the fowarder and he can do the import of the used engine..but It will be a formal import so all paper are going to be ok... So Eric.. what kind of documentation on the engine you can provide? in the case I purchase you can do an invoice?

no manifolds, has an aluminum intake with a holly 4160 sitting on it, circ pump on it, pro tec,
200 to 250/ to ship, you can call me if you need more details, the high torque starter is even on it it had 115 or so hours on it the drop in replacement for it was $7500.00 from pcm, it was diagnosed completely wrong and thats how i wound up with it, call me so i can sharpen my selling skills lol 877-369-6693 thats free too ------------- "the things you own will start to own you" |

Eric nice rig but I have to pass...Customs legislation burocracy prohibits the import of used engines....I tried with some forwarder and they all gave me the same answer.... No doubts I would have consider it in case of possible.. Much easier and cheaper than my ongoing rebuilt that so far I spent 2.2k in parts FOB....add to that 1k in shipping and import duties and another 1k on some labor and machining.....so I have almost 5k... New engine here ready to drop in sells here for 10-12k..------------- <a href="">1992 ski nautique |

what he means is... i got a nice pallet, took my primer to prime the pump and normally will crank the engine over cause the engine sat for a while....no turn, pull the plugs and 2 back cylinders have rust on the plugs
bust it down, off to the machine shop, Chess its going one of two ways, resleeving or he is pushing to go up .030 on all the holes which he said is the better way to go, slight delay, luckily the money Chess sent me is going to the machinist instead of the pissed off owner who doesnt like to cover the boat which he swears he did so, the moral of the story, if you werent from CCF, i wouldve sent your money back and you seem pretty excited about the engine I'll snap some shots to solidify my story so this doesnt get pulled out of context ------------- "the things you own will start to own you" |

BTW, when i got up in the boat a month ago, with a jump box it clicked and moved just so i could tell the direction, i though the jump box was a little weak but all i needed was to bump it to tell direction. another day in paradise ------------- "the things you own will start to own you" |

Funny you mention de valve steam seals, now while my heads are getting rebuild, my mech told the guy at the machine shop to skip the valve steam seals, he says those work good on cars when you brake with the gearbox and the engine keeps rpm loaded, then it's when the oil likes to go up. In a Boat engine that can not happen since you stop with the throttle and the engine slows down as well. what do you think?

| oh that is great news. it got hot here and I cant wait to see this boat in the water. I contacted the guy who is doing the install and he knows its coming soon. I just have to let him know when it is supposed to arrive. If you need anything let me know.
