My sweetie's birthday is today...and yes, she's an April Fool's baby. I of course feel a certain responsibility in this case.

Some of our friends sent her 2 dozen roses and 2 were broken off at the top...so I put the 2 stems in a vase with the card and a few other cards that came. Those are on the counter and the other 22 are on the wash machine behind closed doors.

Too harsh?

Slick, not too harsh IMO but then again I sometimes go over the line.

Thanks K, the only thing is she just loves flowers. Her initial reaction won't be good, but hopefully she'll enjoy the laugh more!

I was thinking of picking a single camellia we have blooming in the yard to 'offer' as temporary consolation for what the flower company 'did to her'?!!? LOL

I'm in a mood today!

The hard part will be keeping a staight face for a few minutes!   LOL

I did try to think of a few harmless jokes over the last few days...but when the broken flowers showed up...!

Roger, that only gives you credentials!

She'll read this, and I didn't start this thread until I figured she'd be away from her box and not likely to check her crackberry.

Wish her a happy birthday and I might survive the evening?!!?

To bad about your husband's sense of humor.
We did not get any "surprise" at the river but it was a true pleasure meeting you and Greg. We sure do hope to get up your way to meet up with yous, the MoorFoots and skicat.

Anytime John...Tim and I have already knocked it around a little.

My joke went off just right. She called her friend and they were ready to call the flower company when I brought out the 22!

Okay guys/gals, my signing in to CCF is LONG over due. Thank you HW, Jbear and Eric for the birthday wishes. Critter, I'm not his practice wife, he's my practice husband and hopefully my only husband. I really appreciate everyone on this site, thank you for all your help and it was great to meet a few of you at the St. Johns. FYI, you're all welcome here anytime, and I'll even make "toothpick surprise" for you and my husband will eat cat food for his little prank. Kidding of course. It's hard to pull one over on me, since I've been suspicious of April Fools since forever! and I have two older brothers and of course my Dad but Greg really got me yesterday!!! All I can say is payback is a -----, and our anniversary/Greg's birthday are coming up Any slightly devious but funny plans for payback are welcome Thanks again.

WHOOPS! Sorry Amy. I missed that one. Kim and I want to wish you a Belated Happy Birthday. How does it feel to be "29" again. Hope that your back yard is filling up after all this rain so that we can come up and spend some time with you guy's. I'm sure you and Kim could use some "Kentucky" time and Greg and I could use some beer/boating time with you two ladies.

Guess you broke the ice on here and we'll soon see "Mrs. Foot", "Mrs. Critter" and "Mrs.jbear" logging on.

If quinner ever tries to show you his "toothpick surprise" do not accept, you'll break a rib laughing!

We're still talking about it and Billy has been on our case about going as well. We'll see but I think we'd need a ride. The BFN is polished and lookin good, but that's a long drag.

CQ, you're high on my list of 'to meet'...and we hope to see you at the river next year!

Thanks for getting my age right Tim and thank you, Kim, Quinner and Kristof for the b-day wishes.

Our lake looks better every day with the rain we've been getting lately. I can't wait for you guys to make a run up here. Tell Mrs. Foot I'll give her a call this weekend.

HW don't be mistaken, just because I have finally decided to log on doesn't mean us "wife units" aren't always lurking in the backbround. After all, we need some good laughs now and then too

No promises yet, but Billy says he might let us rent some of his realestate. Amy and I and Billy and Karen stayed a day longer than most at the river...best of friends for life!

Along with HW, Pete brings it home!

Pete, just 'cause I think so much of you...wanted to let you know that a belated April fool's joke may be targeted your way?!!?

WI is home ground for 1 side of my family...grandaddy always wanted to take me for a trip up there.

Thank you Pete and Billy.

We're REALLY going to try to do GL. I would hate to miss a fantastic opportunity to meet some more of our CCF family. Plus I really want a ride in the dart or Karen's boat.

I was a little hesitant to use that screen name, but hey, at least everyone knows who I am when I say Buffalo or the Pumpkin. Not to mention that there are a few of you on the site that actually have some "Donna the Buffalo" now
