The carpet on my 96 ski has become "hard" from the lake water. I have heard a scrubbing it with downy and water mixture and rinsing will bring the softness back. Does anyone know if this works (and the mix ratio), or what else will take care of this. Thanks in advance

I have not used a mixture of anything, but I have used a power washer that really helps bring the carpet back to life. I us a shop vac after the power washer to get the water out of the boat.

I've got a little carpet cleaner called a Bissell Little Green. It does wonders on boat carpet. Makes them look great and best of all, removes the stink.
