I know I posted this once before, but the search function is still not working, so I'll try again. MY 97 SNOB usually is pretty wet under the bow after a day on the water. I'm talking all the way up front, under the "open" bow part. Does anyone else have a set-up like this? I know Mojo's is a little different, so it must not be the same on the pre 97s.

Here are a few pics:

This is with the cushions removed. There are drains in each of the two rear corners, which go to the bilge.

The carpeted panel in the front can be completely removed for access to under bow storage

There is only a hard piece of black trim around the edge of the opening....that doesn't seem very water tight to me.

I can't tell if there should be weather stripping on the panel, or if those marks are just from the panel sitting on the fiberglass.

Anyone with access to theirs, I'd be interested to know if I'm missing some weather stripping, or something similar.

Thanks
Rob

I don't know about the Snob specifically, but based upon the SAN, and the Sport Nautique, no, you're not missing weatherstripping.

Water may not be getting in from above. If the bildge gets even a couple of gallons of water in it, the water will blow up through that drainhole. Happens to mine occasionally. Also, some have experienced water pushing up through a gap in the cap under the rub rail. Some silcon to fill the gap and problem goes away. Just guesses. BKH

I'm guessing this is by design. The goal is to drain the bow ASAP if it takes on a scoop of water, which is why the SNOB also has dual bilge pumps. Making it watertight could be a safety issue.
