The PMC Manual has this picture on Page 11.

It shows Front of Motor with Cylinder Number and Firing Order for Fords

The cylinders are always in the same spot, Eric! Front left cylinder as youre looking at the front of the motor (the most forward cylinder on the starboard side of a direct drive boat). RH firing order is 18456273.

Edit: Roger- fix your diagram so RH is correctly labeled. Not sure if the firing order you referenced is from the manual, but it looks like the 289/early 302 firing order to me. Later 302's (like my '71) and all 351w's used the 13726548 order, which would be 18456273 if its a RH.

Roger, that diagram is screwy.

The diagram on the left (15426378) is a LH Ford and the one on the right (18736245) is a RH... so the label on the right is incorrect.

Both firing orders are for the 289 and early 302's (and presumably the 260 and 221 that preceded them), but the later 302's and 351's used a different firing order. The correct one is 13726548(LH)/18456273(RH).

Thanks for the clarification Tim

EDIT: As I hate to see incorrect informtion or diagrams online, I have corrected the diagram in my post to make corrections referenced by Tim.
Tim, would you verify that it is now correct. Thanks

RH 351w FO is 18456273.

All Ford dizzys spin counterclockwise as viewed from the top (the gear is cut opposite on the RH's to allow this). Just figure out which post is cyl #1 and follow the firing order around.
