Appears to be a late night drunken ride in a Malibu?
Hope everyone makes out OK.

That happened on the lake next to ours, about 2 miles from us. Since when does a 23 ft Malibu go 70 mph? Those kids are lucky they aren't all dead, not one of them got thrown from the boat.

Mike, tells you how much the wardens know about boats that aren't used for fishing. Those kids are lucky. I bet the driver still can't believe how different the lake looks at night going fast, drunk. His father must be just thrilled.

Yeah Mike,
When they reported 70mph on the news last night, I thought - Isn't square pond a pretty small lake for a cigarette boat? Then they showed the Mali sitting in the trees

How come it's the Massachusetts guys that have these problems?

   Here's another http://www.wmtw.com/video/19555947/index.html - video .

That is the penninsula at the end of Treasure Island. 10 feet to the left and they would have woke up alot happier Sunday morning. I keep waiting for something like this to happen on our lake. It won't be long... last year a drunk kid jumped off the RT109 bridge between upper and lower Mousam and landed on someone on a Seadoo, seriously injuring both of them.

I don't know Malibus, but maybe the speedo reads up to 70 and that's where the wardens came up with it. Kind of like a Chevette w/ a 120mph limit speedo. "Look, says here this here car can do 120!"

A numb-nut drives his boat up into some trees.... Ah, summer has begun!

Seriously though... I hope everyone recovers from their injuries. If the boat can't be fixed up send him down to NECC for a Ski Nautique!

I don't get why people think it's ok to drive fast in the dark. Two years ago the guy from Mass that ran over the 15 footer and killed 2 people on Long Lake with his Sunsation insisted, even as he was on his way to jail, that he did nothing wrong. The guy was going 45 mph on a dark moonless night!

This guy wasn't so lucky. I'll bet the two fisherman need clean shorts!
He had just left the bar.

   Bruce,

Come to find out, my business partner knows the family. Used to sell them all kinds of powersports toys when he worked in Mass. Wealthy family, always got the kid whatever he wanted. Go figure. I hate to stereotype, but if the shoe fits......
I haven't heard much about the guy in the Sunsation lately. The problem with a guy like him is that he probably honestly believes he did nothing wrong.

My cousin was killed on the Piscatiqua River in a boat accident. He got hit buy a drunk guy who had already killed someone else while drinking and driving a boat. Brilliant system we have isn't it ?

Mike, Sorry about your cousin. If it happened more than a few years ago, the guy probably got nothing for it.

I don't go out on Sebago at night. I stopped doing that at least 10 years ago. Too dangerous.
