I will have a 1993 ski nautique trailer for sale very soon. It will be available mid June. I will post pictures when I figure out how do it. It will be soon...my wife is smarter than I am!

I will only post the truth. This trailer has the normal rust that the correct craft trailers have. The fender skirts are quite rusted, but I have had diamond plate trim on them for years. Looks pretty good. There is also a place under the carpeted bunk that is a issue It has rotted the top of the frame rail and you can stick your finger into the frame. I ran this trailer roughly 2000 miles last year in this condition and it really doesn't concern me too much. Body shop said that it isn't hurting the structural integrity too much so I continued to use it. The trailer brakes don't work. I have never had them functioning as long as I have owned this boat which is 9 years. When I had the trailer at the shop to get them looked at, they said it needed new brake lines and a new actuator due to a bad diaphram. I opted not to fix them and made other improvements such as a spare tire mount and tire along with a custom mounted winch which is very handy when you can't power load.
The tires are very good. They are load range D radials. New bearings and races last year.

I don't want to hype this trailer up, but I want to say that it will make a good trailer for the person who does short trips or needs a trailer for storing thier boat during the winter. The brakes are a easy fix and the running gear is very reliable. Heck, I wouldn't take it on a 1k mile trip if I didn't trust it. We are just upgrading trailers and posting to see if anybody needs ok trailer.

I would be asking $500.00 and I think the trailer is worth that much.

Your price is fair enough, where are you located? I have a summer home in the Northeast lakes region of Maine, I live in Mass just outside of Boston. I am in immediate need. My trailer broke apart while towing this weekend, Fortunately my low towing speed saved the boat from serious damage. Thank you in advance. Steve M.

weitekampt,

Because I am pretty much need of a trailer right away, I ordered one from my local CC dealer, where the boat is being checked over. Business being lousy, prices are as good as one could hope for. For $2,500 I got a brand-new rig, choice of color, single axle, 15" tires + spare, baring-buddies, surge brakes, submersible LED lighting, wench, guide posts...

My boat did sustain about $2K in damage, it's hard to know how much hidden damage there is until someone who knows the boat inside & out, checks these things. Fortunately my Ski-Safe policy was paid-up.

With any luck, I should be on the water for my birthday, July 4th.

That would be a great present. Now, if only the weather will cooperate...

Glad to hear you got a new trailer! Yes, deals are good and that is why I got one too. Sorry to hear about your boat sustaining that much damage. That really sucks, but I sure hope you can be on the water for the 4th!

chess, I will get you some pictures e-mailed tonight. let me know if htere are any specific pictures you want. I honestly don't get that direction too often. If you want to wait until late August, I may be able to help out. Our vacation schedule is full in July and early august.

Alan, I will get you some tonight. THANKS!!!

Hello weitekampt I have been busy playing and not thinking about the things I need to do. I am still interested in your trailer. I need to make sure an 85 will fit on it safely. I heard it probably would but I tend to get myself into trouble with things that will probably fit. I got your pics you sent thankyou. Are you planning a vacation in Aug that will bring you south? If not we can figure something out. thanks

Weitekampt

Being a CCF newbie I don't want to hijack a transaction in motion but am interested in your trailer if chessloveedit can't close the deal. I'm a neighbor to your north in Wisconsin. I meet lots of weekend Illinois visitors on the highway Friday nights!
I look forward to hearing from you and being part of CCF.

hello Haefcl2, I am still interested in the trailer its just that I dont need it I just want it. my trailer is not CC and it is pretty junky. Do you need the trailer or are you doing what Im doing? If you dont have one, I would feel bad keeping you from this one. Bottom line is I want it unless you need it. chess

chess,

Sorry for the slow response, been real busy. I am in the same boat as you, (no pun intended), so go for it if you have the resources. I bought equipment for my project since my last post which ate up my cash so go for it.
If you haven't bought the trailer in a month or two I'll go for it.
