Al right I'm ready to get pounded for even mentioning this but here it goes.
Some of you may have seen my recent post regarding my graphic resto on my '77. I am keeping with the original colors of the graphics and even plan on air brushing the black shadow on them. I ordered the six new decals for the back and plan on changing the beat-up aluminum rub rail over to the newer rubber with rope style that I got from Southeast Correct Craft (I'm sure some of you disagree already) but what I'm thinking about is instead of putting the beat up white with black letter plastic emblem back on is to find a decal that would look correct in its place. I got a hold of a couple of the newer black/silver plastic ones and was thinking of doing what I think Chris (79 nautique) did, paint them white and block sand the letters, but the rivet holes don't line up and I have an issue with drilling more holes to mount it. I feel that a nice clean sticker with the correct font might look good in place of the plastic which although correct for its time looks sort of looks cheezy. And if down the road I want to put the plastic ones back on that's always an option.

Jeff, Ive got an even better solution. You can get a set of the original white/black emblems from http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1129 - Stan C. I got a few sets from him last summer- one of which went on my Skier that was at LG. They look and fit just like the originals... awesome.

I bought the same set from Stan. Perfect match, they look great and the holes line up perfect.
