I was wondering if anyone can help me ID an engine and trans in a boat I just purchased?

The boat is a 63 American Skier. It has a flywheel forward inline ford 6 (supposed to be 100hp?). The alternator has "intercepter" on it. I would like to find out how many cubes this motor is? are there any #s on the block that tell?

Also , the boat is very hard to shift thru F-N-R , I unhooked the shift linkage at the trans arm....that is all loose.

I took the top cover off and really dont have any way of knowing if / how to adjust anything. again the trans has no visible tags that I can see, so I dont even know the manufacturer. A couple of things are, it has 10 bolts on the top inspection cover and the shift arm is located on the rt side and is attached to a horizontal shaft.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks

If you send me a picture of the tran & engine i'll see if I can help. Also give me an engine serial number.
