Some people just dont get it. . .
A guy on our lake bought a 90MC that was in a wreck and repaired by another member of the lake. Got it cheap and ran great for 2 years...this year the boat was taking on lots of water so I jumped in to help. Took up the back floor board to see there was no glass on the shaft log and the brass was held down by 4 bolts that were thru the hull. Sure enough there was caulk under the log and thats where the water was entering the boat. I explained to him that all the glass was GONE around the shaft log and this wasn't repaired correctly!! He threw more caulk under it and called it good!
He's still running it ragged to this day but I swore I wouldn't drive it (Not that I'd ever drive an MC anyway) and be held responsible when it goes out or someone gets hurt!
Wow!
