Can anybody tell me the ohms that my fuel sending unit, '79 Nautique, should read when the tank is empty and/or full? I am reading about 140 ohms, I think it's about half full, but my gauge doesn't read anything. I do measure the same resistance at the gauge, so I don't think the wiring is the problem.

Most fuel gauges on boats, teleflex, detmar, stewart warner read as follows:
240 ohms=full
103 ohms=half
33 ohms=empty

That is the ohm reading of the fuel sending unit.
