i have a whining noise coming from the boat usually when i turn, but not always when i trun. i ran aground the other day. had to replace the prop because of it. could it be the driveshaft? shaft bearings? trany? trans fluid is on the low side; could the low fluid be the problem?
Thanks,
Chris

are you getting the same noise with the new prop ? it could be a cavitation noise in a hard turn.

yes the noise is there with the new prop. the prop is an ACME 540. i don't think the prop is the problem. let me know if im wrong
