I purchased a 1994 nautique with the 240 hp 351 last summer. Since my knowledge about this boat is limited I want to know if 1994 model year was good year and if not what problems should i look for at 750 hours.

Thank You

George

I have a '93 SN, so I am biased in saying that yes the '94 is a good year. Starting in '93, all wood was eliminated from the structure of the boats (you might find wood used as blocking, but very very little. So, you do not have to worry about rotting stringers or floor. The boats are built very strong and light. Currently, I have my '93 completely disassebled with the exception of removing the engine and I have found no signs of trouble resultant from the overall construction of the boat.

So far, the only thing I do not like is the thin fiberglass composite of the floor...does not hold screws very well. I quess there is a trade off here for weight savings.

These boats are well made and should last almost forever if cared for properly. Enjoy.
