the pilot seat is becoming very flimsy im sure its the facory origial,i dont even think its worth having it re upolsterd . looking for a good solid facory seat that will keep the boat somewhat original .

From the pictures in your diary, it doesnt look like you have a factory drivers bucket. It would have originally had a 2-piece seat- both back and bottom cushions being roughly 16x16. The bases are wood, and are attached to aluminum frames. If you do have a set, then just rebuild the wood if necessary (preferably sealing them with epoxy resin) and then have then reupholstered. See if they can reuse the foam if your original stuff isnt too played out.

Get us a picture of what youve got and we can confirm. Heres what the factory original late 70's seats looked like:

thats definatly not the kind of seat i have its more a bucket style seat ,the observer seat i know has been taken out they built a wood base with a cushion and then padded the dash to lean back on,i want to change that out to but for now it works till i can find a replacement
