Hey guys, Whats the correct way to remove the dash panel behind the steering wheel?

I need to replace some of the breaker switches (Ignition, bilge, etc).

I took out the screws that go around the edge of the dash panel, but I it didnt come out easily and I was scared to pull it too hard for fear of breakign it.

Am I doing this right or is something else holding that panel in?

I find it easier to remove the whole dash pod when working on it.

There are the screws on top and three in the faceplate that help to attach the pod to the main dash assembly.

Nice looking 89 by the way.

I was wondering if that was what I was going to have to do. I took all of the screws for the panel out and it didnt coem out so that was the next step before I decided.....let me ask before i tear something up!

And thanks for the compliment, she's startign to come around. Needs another round of wetsanding and some new decals for the rear. Then its time for new vinyl/carpet when the money is acounted for.
