Buy this new. You don't want an old junk one with no safety interlock.

Chopper it might be worth replacing the Protec ignition while you are at it. I had forgot about 91Nautique he loaded a container up with all sorts of bits and pieces.
91 nice to hear from you again.

How's it going Mark - enjoy your US trip?
Chopper- When I imported my boat in the late 90's I actually brought two and junked one over there and filled my boat up with everything off the junked boat and anything else I could lay my hands on..
Whats I have left (from memory) -suit windsor.
1.23.1 trans & bellhousing
2 sets of engine mounts & brackets
carb, spacer & flame arrestor
alt & adj arm
timing cover
sherwood pump & mounting bracket
pulleys
starter
complete open cooling system (PCM)
partial closed cooling system (PCM)
complete closed cooling system (mercruiser)
marine electronic dizzy (mercruiser)
p bracket
shaft
prop
skipole
some dash switches
By the time you pay for transport and recon'ing the carb and pump it might be better to grab some new ones, if you need the carb spacer, flame arrestor, alt & adjusting arm and mount for the sherwood pump, you can have them-you owe me a beer, let me know and I will go down to where the gear is stored and sort through it.
Melbourne Carb's sells a recon 600 vac sec marine carb for about 300 bucks-have a look here

As for the pump- tried Albury performance?

Mate the pump mount is still on the block, but pump is missing.
From your list of bits & pieces I would be nterested in the following:
carb & arrestor - spacer is still on the manifold.
Alternator & bracket.
Sherwood RWP (and the top piece of PCM hose if you have any)
I don't know if the starter is there or not?
Do you happen to have ignition leads.? Even if they are no good it will help me with lengths of new ones.
I'd probably owe you more than a beer for all that.!
what are your contact details.?

Chopper,
Do you need the bracket that bolts the alt to the housing as well as the adjuster arm (looks like yours is missing) I have that as well.
No hoses or leads, Enzed sells wire reinforced flexible hose
http://www.enzed.com.au/centres.php
The starter motors are the same as XD falcon.
Looking at the pic of the engine it appear's the steel fuel line from the pump to the carb has gone awol as well.

Hi Dan,
Mate I missed your reply here. I really don't know exactly what's missing. If it looks missing, it probably is.
I probably need to wait until it gets here to be sure.
I'll give you a call to discuss the parts.
Here's another motor pic.

first thing you do when you get that beauty is turn her over by hand. you can always tell the engines that got a little rain water down them, the piston will be halfway up and the cylinder will be pitted and at times wont turn over by hand, I hope this isnt the case...hopefully the cover was down the entire time and they didnt forget to lower it at one point...and it may be worth turning it in case the party responsible for stealing the boat didnt drop one of the carb nuts down the throat

one thing i do notice is they took the steel line with the carb and disconnected it at the pump...why not at the carb?

Yep that's the first thing that will be done for sure.
The cover is down in most of the other pics I have, so hopefully it's all good. I am a little worried about a carb nut or similar too, so we'll see how it goes.
I'm quietly hopefull that there might be a couple of parts sitting in the bilge.
Wherever this thing was when it was "stolen" they sure seemed to have some time to remove parts carefully.
