Im looking for a non-delux driver's seat from an early 80's boat. The metal brackets are really the main thing I need- though Id love to find a fiberglass base with the tracks as well. Condition of the cushions and wood bases isnt important- I'll be swapping over the vinyl anyways.
I may be able to trade an early 70's fiberglass bucket (minus the aluminum brackets), a mid-late 70's bucket (with the brackets) or a 85+ delux driver's bucket set up (which would need to be recovered).
These are the style Im looking for:
They came with seat tracks like this:
Sometimes they mounted on wooden bases, other times on black fiberglass bases. Im looking for the latter.
If anyone has anything, please let me know. Thanks!

Did they use those as early as the late 60's?

Bruce, no- these are different. Ive seen some 1st gen SN's with aluminum bracket seats ( http://www.correctcraftfan.com/diaries/details.asp?ID=1668 - like this '66 ).
These are similar, but not the same as the aluminum brackets used in the mid-late 70's. These are the seats that I had in my Tique and what we have in our BFN.
In between (~69-74), there were fiberglass buckets used that also had (short) aluminum bases. This is what I have in my Skier:
All of the above seats had aluminum bases that sat on some aluminum stock with posts (which were screwed to the floor) and held down with 4 knobs. The late 70's style were slotted, so they were adjustable (by loostening all 4 knobs). The earlier versions were fixed.
The early 80's versions (81-85) looked much like the late 70's seats, as they shared the same type of cushions. The aluminum frames differed a bit though, as these were shorter. Instead of sitting directly on the floor, they sat on nicely adjustable tracks and a fiberglass "podium" like the later delux interiors. I dont have a good picture, unfortunately, but you can see the difference in the frames from Christine's site:
Late 70's frames on the left, early 80's on the right:
We want to switch the BFN to the newer style so we can adjust the seat easier, but still keep the original look of the cushions.

Long story short, I want one of these:
I really only need the aluminum frames, but would love to have the fiberglass pedestal and the tracks if possible.
In return, I can trade one of these:
69-74 bucket, no aluminum frames, foam or upholstery:
Late 70's seat, including complete frames and marginal bases and upholstery (if you want them):
Delux from the mid 80's through late 90's, essentially bare (no useable vinyl or foam):

Tim, can you not get a metal shop to fabricate them for you?

Tim, Im sure I could if someone were to grab some simple dimensions off theirs. I know a few people have priced it out though, and its not cheap- so Id probably be better off going with a set from Christines. At $169+ shipping, this would quickly be a $250+ project by the time you add in the seat tracks and build a fiberglass pedestal. Thats a little more than I was hoping to spend just for a little bit of convenience. I was hoping to come out close to even with some sort of trade... Ive got lots of parts, just not all the ones I need!

That red seat is just like the one in my '90, but its certainly not for sale! I can likely get my hands on a plastic bucket base that you could recover (Christines sells the vinyl), but thats the best I could do. But I guess its a moot point since you dont have the seat I need in trade!
You'll have to ask Reid about that implant... thats his workshop.

davee40 and TRBenj,
My plan is to take my old seat out my 1984 that TRBenj wants and replace it with a roto cast seat close to what davee40 is looking for. The roto cast seat is out of a 1987 Correct Craft Martinique. I have both bucket seats from the 1987 Martinique but plan to only use one for my 1984, which will replace the seat that TRBenj wants! Let me know if you want pictures of the roto cast seat out of the Martinique and if there is interest in my standard drivers seat from my 1984. The seat in my 1984 is perfect! I will need to keep the base and running gear for my roto cast seat! My 1984 is in storage about two hour from my house! I have access to my storage unit anytime. The roto cast seats are in my garage! I do know that the new seats in the current Correct Crafts do not sit at the same angle as the old roto cast seats. They are almost impossible to find. I feel very lucky to have two of these!
You can see the back of my drivers seat!

Scott, the original seat from your '84 is exactly what Im looking for! I really only need the frames if you want to keep the vinyl, foam and wood bases. The red and white wont match our blue BFN very well.
Alternatively, maybe I could buy the whole seat and reinstall the cushions on a set of late 70's bases for Dave. Its not a rotocast bucket, but it would be original for his boat and the colors would match- so maybe a 3-way trade would work? Just a thought.
What color is your fiberglass pedestal? Id love to find a white one. If you'd be interested in a trade (I can get you a black one) then let me know.
