I am just hearing some audio from Capital Hill and wow am I proud! Sounds like one or two Americans are sick of business as usual on that hill; and it's music to my ears and wish I could have been there. Depending on the news source a fellow chooses, he may or may not hear that this is about a lot more than healthcare.

After all...it's not called Socialist Hill!!!

And then at the end of the year you will pay a tax on that tax credit. Same goes for the $4500 cash for clunker gift.

i love the clunker gimmick, trade in a car that is paid off, they inflate the price, you pay taxes on the 4500.00, then you pay a sales tax if it applies, then your stuck for another 60 months.
God bless, i wish everyone would go out and buy a new car for different reasons, but i look at a car as a tool...it gets me from A to B, and once in a while i throw some gas in, no payments

I thought cash for clunkers was a great deal, especially last winter when GM and Ford were really discounting their trucks. I had a perfect candidate, 96 Suburban with 200k on it. $4,500 is about 3 times what it is worth. If only I wanted a payment book...

$6,500 for repeat homeowners ought to bring out a lot of new buyers around here. $8,000 for first timers has definately boosted sales in Maine.

I wish they come up with a program for the people who are just hunkering down and trying to pay off debt and not borrow more.

I fell off my chair when my accountant brought my returns, I really did sht, they were three times of what i expected because of the child credits....it pulled me out of the hole i was digging with the downfall in the economy...number 12 aint so bad after all lol

The child tax credit is great! Unfortunately you lose it in the year that they turn 17, which can be 4-5 years before they are on their own.

The stimulus programs require either having money or borrowing money. I think most people are borrowing. Hopefully, it won't be de ja vu all over again.
