Subject: Shooting at Fort Hood... WTF??
Date Posted: November-06-2009 at 7:10am
Was drinking my morning coffee and eating a sandwich while watching the rerun of the late night news (daily ritual...).
A brief topic on our news about the shooting in Fort Hood immediatly caught my attention. So at work I googled this item and started reading... WTF??

A few lines of the http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6512329/Fort-Hood-shooting-13-killed-and-30-injured-at-US-Army-base.html - article :

"Major Hasan, a military psychiatrist who had allegedly called for Muslims to attack Americans over the Iraq war, is critically ill and under guard in hospital".

"Hasan, armed with two handguns, walked into a training centre and opened fire on fellow soldiers who were having last-minute medical check-ups before being deployed to Afghanistan. Thirteen were killed and 30 injured".

"A former colleague, Col Terry Lee, said Hasan had fallen out with other soldiers on the base. He claimed that Hasan said he was “happy” when a US soldier was killed in an attack on a military recruitment centre in Arkansas in June".

I wonder how a guy with that kind of background can make it to major in the US Army...?

But then again, we just had to do quite some paperwork a few months ago on a few colleagues who were dishonorably discharged for being members of a local neo-nazi group...

Rotten apples can be found anywhere I guess.

Watching it on the news too. Kinda sounded like there were signs of odd behavior recently that no one picked up on. One of the guys I work with daughter is at Hood and can't get hold of her. He's worried, but assumes if something did happen he would know about it already.

-God bless our troops.

From the "news" his behavior was very odd, days and weeks before. No one took the "bold" step to do anything. Sad, sad day for the U.S.A.

All of a sudden makes it close to you doesn't it.
Hope he hears from her soon. Could also be they keep the info for themselves untill they have all the facts...
But waiting is killing in moments like that.

It's all over the news today over here...

The weapons he used are the the "Five-Seven" from FN. This is a powerful pistol that uses 5.7mm NATO ammunition. It's an army weapon, so not purchasable for civilians here.
It's a pistol that can pierce through bullet proof vest at larger distances.
As it is a Belgian weapon, so you can imagine the news makes an item of it over here.

Some newspapers here even say it wasn't a solo action. There were three shooters...?

My prayers go to all the victims and their families.

its in the allmighty book they read to create terrorism, we are taught all are lives not to be racist, Kris, if I ever visit your country i would respect your religions and government, in other countries these types would be lined up with no questions asked and would be given a 5.7mm round to the head, they would be put back on the boat that brought them, they are radicals with these beliefs, Our government doesnt help things out and opened the doors to these types. In a way it creates hate in my eyes because we are exposed to so many of them, they milk the US tax free, educate themselves, bye a little piece of the pie one corner at a time, it is impossible to not have these thoughts when these things continue to happen. its a stale mate chess game. I shouldnt say "they" that may be a touch racist, but they walk through my neiborhood with thier heads tilted down not looking because in thier heads they no its wrong and all i think is cross hairs...and i like everybody lol, i think it but dont say it, am i a racist? but again i think marriage is a bond between a man and a woman

Eric sometimes I think they do that so as not to laugh at us. Our policies protect them while therse brothers conspire to attack us from within. Our administaration can pat themselves on the back for passing a health care bill, yet hang our troops in the sandbox out to dry by not giving them the means to "terrorize" the advisary and finish the job. You may be thinking cross hairs and not say it, I sometimes think about painting lines on the first glass parking lot! Let is all not forget this week the things we take for granted and the scrifices other make.

Eric,
I follow you. But the problem is the same over here... As I said in other posts, the world has become a small village these days. What happens in your neck of the woods today, affects our neck of the woods tomorrow...
Do I consider it racism on my part when I think "cross hairs" on (any kind of) people that do not respect the traditions and laws of my country...?? No I don't, cause I would show respect to the laws and traditions of the country I would be in, so, I expect no less of anyone coming to mine.

The problem is our politically correct media will portray this as "One mentally ill individual who snapped." The fact is, its yet ANOTHER islamic murderer who succeeded in killing many people. On the morning news shows, the commentators were already pointing fingers at the military commanders "who should have caught this". If any one those commanders would have acted on their suspicions, the same media would have labeled it as racial profiling. Of course its racial profiling, the stated aims of islamic extremists is to kill as many "infidels" as possible. I hope they racial profile the hell out of any suspicious individual or groups. We need a much more pragmatic view, I guarantee our enemies are pragmatists.

Call it racial profiling if you want too but with Democratic societies across the globe always on "Terroist" alert why on earth would you put a guy with a muslim name and background ( Nidal Hasan ) evaluating troops to determine if they are mentality ready to go fight in the "fatherland". That to me in itself was a bomb ready to go off... and it did.

Political Correctness. You're not supposed to think like that.

Mohammed Atta left from Portland, ME on 911. The ticket guy for the airlines that checked them in was on local TV several years later after he retired. He said if he ever saw a terrorist it was Atta and his accomplice that morning. They fit the profile. On edge, one way tickets purchased for cash the day before at a high price, their whole demeanor. Then he got ahold of himself and let them go on as he wasn't supposed to think that way. Imagine what's it's like to be him.

Fort Hood isnt a tragedy, it is an act of war. If we dont wake up, and call it what it is, we are destined for more of the same. Amazing how we can forget so quickly the mentality that led us into 9/11. I pray for our country.

that wasnt an isolated hodgee thought either, OK im no racist but I have no use for people like that, blood runs through thier viens like me and you but evil runs through thier thoughts...we got the colored thing behind us and now we got to deal with these guys..
Do we send 40000 more into the hornet hive or do we pull back. plain and simple, those people are as racist as a kkk memeber and hate us and enjoy seeing death to anyone of us....maybe its time to change our thoughts and be more verbal...you have to profile because on the outside you may not know it but you know what they are thinking on the inside.
What do you do? We've backed ourselves into a corner and troops are not going to solve this problem. any button pushers out there? good thing im not at the control panel..my excuse would be I slipped ...sorry,
if you catch some of the clips of these people pushing people off of the tops of 5 story buildings or strapping a bomb around a thiefs kneck and hitting the button...the mainstream media doesnt show you this stuff on the 6 O'clock news

Sure did and the people in Portland are mad as heck. I've never seen the losing side in an election get so much press after they lost. There's articles and letters in the paper every day about all the backwards thinking awful people that live here. Funny thing is it was about a 53/47 vote similar to the last presidential election. They're calling this vote close, while OBama won with a mandate.

I dont care what people do behind closed doors, thats petty sht, give them what they want so they shut up, my thoughts have nothing to do with man and man it has to do with the bond of marriage, its between a man and a woman. next thing you know Jo Bob will want to marry his cow and some fd up group will allow this

Eric, about 5 years ago a guy up in Bangor beat his son so bad he put him in the hospital. They asked the guy why he did it and he said he was sick and tired of his son living in his basement and having relations with his dog. The next day the son had a press conference from the hostpital saying he wanted his father charged with a hate crime because he was in a loving relationship with his dog. Never heard another word about the incident again.

Watch the backpedaling about the justice system after the trial of one of the terrorists and some liberal judge lets them go so as to not offend their civil liberties or a mistrial because of some technicality the high dollar lawyer the terrorists has in his NY trial.

In California if you drive illegally they take your license, but if you live there illegally, they give you a license. Country is getting pretty F'd up!

Once done she says wow! you didnt forget much since 1955, the Sgt. glances at his watch, replies, I hope not its only 21:30 now

Don't how things go in your neck of the woods, but over here things are getting pretty fd' up.

The following story was in the newspaper here day before yesterday...
A club house of a local soccer team got burglared and vandalised three times. It took al lot of work and volunteers to get the club house back in shape. The third time, a member of the club caught the perpetrator in the act. They got in a fight and the vandal got immobilised. And get this... The perp was freed a few hours after and the club member was still busy at the police station getting through the red tape. On top of that, the perp sued him for assault and battery!!! The club member now faces a week to two weeks in jail for this!!!

Something is very wrong in this country... And I bet we ain't the only country where such f*d'up sh*t happens...
What the hell is wrong with this sh*t???? All hail to criminals and a*holes nowadays???? Pisses me off...

Sorry for my ranting.
