does anyone know what rat rodders use when they have that rustiness on their rods either treated or clear coated so it stays rusty looking? my farmall super c has a great patina i would like to halt and capture . I would rather leave it like it is than strip and paint .

I wipe my Allis tractor down with a rag & diesel fuel.
I spied a barn fresh 28 Ford that was bare metal wiped down w/ diesel.

Rust never sleeps.

If your looking for a durable Semi gloss clear try PPG Flexed n Flat clear. I'll try to dig up some pics of stuff that I've used it on.
