As one of the most challenging years comes to a close, we want to express our appreciation for your continued business. We have worked hard to make continued improvements in our service, while enhancing our shipping, tracking and billing technologies to improve your organization’s productivity and reduce your costs. After careful evaluation of customers’ needs and the rising costs that affect all businesses, UPS has set 2010 rates. 2010 Rates Effective January 4, 2010* UPS Ground Service will increase 4.9%; Air and International Services will increase a net 4.9%. The rate increase for Air and International Services is based on a 6.9% increase in the base rate and a 2% reduction in the Air and International Services fuel surcharge. They don't mention the fact that they never reduced rates after all the massive "fuel surcharges" they imposed when fuel was 30-40% higher a year an a half ago.

Wait until the Fed starts paying bond interest by issuing more bonds. They will solve liquidity problems by printing more money. Believe me, it's coming.
