Well we went for our maiden voyage yesterday and all went pretty well until the end. We took her on two runs and she did good on both. Her whole shoot was decent and she didn't seem to have too much vibration through out the rpm range, I think the prop needs to be reworked to smooth everything out. After we completed the second run the boat sat for 15 mins before we got ready to take her to the boat launch. After that every time I put her in gear she would die. If I got her in gear and quickly gave her gas, either ahead or astern, she would run fine but would immediately die going back into clutch(dead slow). I figuring I need to check the fuel line and replace the filter to start and then maybe a carb adjustment after that. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions on where to start?

David,
When you shut down the engine, check for gas dribbling down the throat of the carb. It may be time for a carb rebuild. Also, if the boat has set for some time and you are now running ethanol gas, it could be dissolving junk in the tank/fuel system.
