Please keep my oldest son in your thoughts and prayers. He has been suffering from some abdominal pain (lower right). Appendix is suspect. We're waiting on the CT Scan results to know for sure.
Thanks!

You've got it Andy.
My youngest had his appendix removed three years ago at 13.

I have you & your son in our prayers tonight. Keep us informed. A dad would gladly take pain for his kid.

Thanks all. It's really appreciated!
The CT Scan came back normal, so we're not sure what's going on. His pain has subsided for now too. My family has a history of both chronic and acute appendicitis, so it's possible it inflamed and has subsided for now. It's also possible it was something else, but that seems odd considering the area of the abdomen and the fact there were no other gastro type symptoms. The blood work won't be back until Monday, I'm guessing. They said 1 day. Hopefully it was just something else or it doesn't flare up again too soon. We're planning to leave next Saturday for our Christmas trip to CA. I'd hate for something to happen on the road. Keep it all in your thoughts and prayers, if you don't mind.

same thing happened when i had my Appendix out, the pain was unbareble i went to bed with my work boots on because i couldnt bend over, i fianally gave in and went to the hospital at 5:00 that morning, they got me a bed and i laid there, funny thing is the pain went completely away and, I put my clothes on and was ready to go home....not so fast the doctor told me, were taking your appendix out at 7:00
i was bummed, it wasnt bad at all, it was worse when the doc fondled my boys for a vasectomy, and the girlish man who shaved them.
he'll be fine and wish him my luck, get it out of there and you dont have to worry about it anymore

I'm kind of surprised the doctor didn't opt to go for it knowing our family history. But, at the same time, they don't want to go in and cut people up if they aren't sure. We'll see what happens. He could have a flare up next week or next year...who knows.

I know it is difficult to watch one of your children in pain; I'm sure you wish you could switch places. Thanks for sharing . . .

Well...so far, so good. Follow up with the doctor was good and my son seems to be feeling fine. We'll keep an eye on him and see what happens. We're hitting the road today. I have my TomTom programmed to display hospitals along the way, just in case ;-)
Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers all!
