How do I get the fill tube loose? It is a 83 SN. Thanks.

The easiest way Ive found is to loosen the hose clamps and remove the fuel fill fitting from the deck. Pull that out from the top of the fill hose rather than trying to get the hose off from the bottom.

I did mine just like TRBenj said. For me it was the only solution that would work. Then I just left it there about half way up while I cleaned the tank. I used a mallot and a piece of wood to knock it back down into place.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be doing stringers and floors. I'll post it up when I get my camera going.
