I've never taken a V Drive apart so I don't know what is inside. Is the cooler similar to the regular transmission cooler?
We're supposed to get some weather that might be of concern so I was going to go ahead and drain the block and the lines, and I was hoping I could just take off the hose going to the V Drive from the engine and blow it out through the hose coming back. I hate to have to pull the rear seat and the floor. Looks like we could stay below freezing for 36 most, but more than likely will be about 18 and I don't really trust the 150 watt light bulb for that long.

I would remove the plug and drain it if I were you. Or, drain the block, exhaust, and trans cooler. Then do the bucket of RV AF trick. You only need a gallon or two. I do not think that backfilling through the stat cover will get the AF where you need it.
It's that or you are going to have to get access to the V drive plugs, and the back seats in those boats are a pain. I wouldn't think you would need to remove the floor, but I could be mistaken. I have never drained a Vdrive as I use antifreeze.

After looking up the V Drive manual online and seeing that the drain plug is about a half inch below the hoses I figured the water isn't circulating through the thing. I took the hose off of the pressure side of the raw water pump an blew it out which pushed the V Drive water out of the J pipe before the circulation pump. The only thing I can get to through the V Drive access panel is the dipstick, and your right the seat is a PITA to deal with especially in a boat lift.
This is just a quick dirty 15 min water draining to help me sleep, I'll be using the boat again hopefully in a couple of weeks. I will leave the light bulb in it to be on the safe side.
