let a friend put new wires and plugs on my boat he stated that he put the wires back to ford specs 13726548 but now the boat wont even fire off and he is scratching his head ,it looks as if the wires on the dist cap have been changed . ive checked his set up and it is to spec ,whats the problem ?

Thats because he set it up as a left hand motor you have a right hand rotation motor firing order 18456273
Try that!

10-4 pete i gave him a call after jody chimed in and he was very apologetic and confessed that he didnt have a lot of experiance on marinized motors,he was very curious how i got the info so fast and i tol him about the network of friends and enthusiast at ccf.com

back in school you had to know all the firing orders verbally before you could graduate, the one i remember most is the 6 cylinder 153624

15 is to young   36 is to old and 24 is just right
