If any of you are fans, just thought that I would throw out I am going to see this tour tonight. Just a ridiculous lineup of musicians on one stage, one night, playing some of the greatest music ever recorded.

Exactly. I am just geeked on the lineup. Robert Randolph is amazing, as is Vernon Reid from Living Color. Just a sick lineup.

Are you experienced?

Noting that there was a new Hendrix album released last week, maybe Jim will make an appearance soon. Is he really even dead?

Maybe he and SRV are waiting for a grand entrance to shock us all. Enjoy the show Mike, I can see the cheese eating grin on your face now!

I still have a big hunk of an old strat I got from Ritchie Blackmore at a Deep Purple concert like 25 years ago. Smashed it onstage and I was standing right there.

Wendy O was pretty entertaining. I saw her a few times. Electrical tape was actually better than the shaving cream. Dirty dirty girl.

hahaha!   Now that was funny!   Wendy goin' after, I think was a 73 Nova.   She was probably using a Stihl, Homelites weren't really made for cars.

Now if you had Ritchies all in one piece, in the case. I'd say you would probably be drivin' around in the little picture to the left.

I had all the electronics from it, but put it in a crappy strat copy I had, and never removed them when I sold it. I have a photo of him on stage with it, too.

You should see my guitar pick collection. I was a pretty solid ticket scalper during a couple of my teenage years. I saw everyone from the first couple of rows.

Picks? pics?    I've only got 2.    Kevin Cronin REO, he left w/ a tip to my wifes girlfriend.
And a Joe Diffe, I found on Sammy Kershaw's former bus.

I will be going to see this show on March 28th at DPAC in Durham, NC. This will be the last show on the tour. We have second row, center for this show. Should be great. Post a review of the show if you get a chance.

Most definitely.

Here is one I found, kind of blasé but you get the gist of what you will get to see.

Wow. This show is unreal. I am total Hendrix freak, so obviously thought it was amazing. It is a must see if you are at all a Jimi fan.
I could probaby type pages about it, but do not know where to start.

A couple highlights for me: Eric Johnson and Susan Tedeshci broke out One Rainy Wish. Living Colour did Power of Soul. Joe Satriani did Third Stone. Billy Cox, Robert Randolph, and Living Colour did Them Changes. Jonny Lang did Wind Cries Mary.
Absent was Doyle Bramhall II, which was disappointing.

Just amazing stuff. If you have the chance to, GO!

Hey Mike, glad you enjoyed the show. Thanks for the input. I am really looking forward to the show in a couple of weeks. I didn't know this has been going on for several years with different variation of players. This is going to be great!

Jim,   It was beyond great. I have seen hundreds of shows and this is most definitely on my top 5 list. Just the sheer spectacle of all these guitar heros on the same stage was amazing to me.

My ears are still ringing from KWS.

Very cool looking stage with two drumers to let it loose.

Now that's what I call real music....

Drums and picking....
