Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a picture of the replacement for the ring and finger. I'd swear I've seen a picture of the "microphone" top on the site before, but I'm having trouble with the search feature. I keep getting error messages. I got my ring and finger out and need to have a new top made.

Thanks!

Brian

How much would you pay for a new one???
The reason I am asking is I have contacted a casting company that would build a limited number of them but the price is not cheap! Over $300 each to the end user!

This is Brad's '86 with the microphone from N3Boatworks (formerly available from MWCC). I want to say the price was around $125.

Tim
Thanks for the quick response! I talked to Bruce at N3 last summer before I got my ring and finger out. He said the microphone top wasn't in stock, and he would have to have one made for me at a cost of around $150. I found a local machine shop that will fabricate one if I bring him a picture and some measurements. Looks like I can take him the information tomorrow. Thanks again!

Right you are Tim. Bruce at N3 hooked me up with the pictured microphone topper for around 125.

Jody,

Are you talking about getting replacement ring and fingers cast? I would think you'd get some interest on those as they seem to be hard to find. I was able to get mine off in one piece. I'll hang on to mine so I can go back to original some day.

Yes I am talking about the ring and finger cast and chrome plated just like the originals. Their would be a minimum run of maybe 50-75 units.
Personaly I know of three boats that could utilize the replacement because some dumb kid hacked of the ring and finger to stick their dork pipe on the pylon.

Yea, Same kid attacked my 74.   Came with a Fly Stick or Joy Rod, I made the salesman take it off, cause I was too embarrased to let the wife and two kids drive it home like that.
And if that wasn't bad enough, the same genius drilled a 1/2 inch hole half way up on the pylon.

Well stated! Guessing impatience and ignorance, not asking or listening to the CCfan group plus not knowing about Kroil. "dork pipe"

That same kid cut my Ring and Finger also. However, I got a great replacement off of this site from a used boat.
