Since there are more than you than originally assumed, give me a holler! I understand we may be getting together sometime this summer. I really hope I can make whatever day/weekend that may be as I have an EXTREMELY busy summer schedule. I will be skiing in about 35 Ski Shows this summer. I would vote that you all come to my place and maybe catch a ski show, or pull a bunch of skiers with your boat, see how much it can pulls..etc. (not liable for any pylon bending/pulling out of the hull)

I'm all about meeting up at the end of the summer since I'll miss the GL reunion. We'll be at Delhi the first week in August. This could be a good meeting spot for an Iowa reunion with most y'all living on the east side of the state.

We'll have the 96 and the Tique up there, maybe a toon

Ya know Dr. We've went up for three years now, this being our fourth and I still don't know. Chris would know. O and Chris hopefully have the skier or an aristocraft up there also. Haha.

52223 is Delhi's zip according to Google... :)

Anyone know The Menge's that have a cabin on the lake? I'm good friends with the boys...I also know a couple people on the Hartwick Husky's Ski Team...

I enjoy the lake quite a bit but have always wondered what the hype is about it. Don't get me wrong, my first visit seeing all the Nautiques was unbelievable. I had no idea there were that many in Iowa. But as far as lake conditions and size and such I didn't care for it all that much...

Mike...you take that back!

Delhi, for us at least, is a great vacation spot. It started as a ski trip before some of us went off to college and has been an annual tradition since. We go during the week so we have most the lake to ourselves. The first year, we saw one other boat on the lake the whole week.

It's got long straightaways and its protected from the wind, what could be better?! You can ski for almost an hour in one pass up the lake!!

There's plenty of things to keep you busy. We normally ski till we can't hold on any more and then cruise the lake looking at old CC's, Jump of the cliff or the bridges, hang out on lost beach, or ride in the tube and drink...soda.

I'll give ya that Chris...the only time I have been there is during a busy weekend when all you see are pontoons loaded with people cruising aimlessly down the river haha

Thats true... We normally stay away from weekends, but I think we might head up on a Saturday afternoon and stay till Thursday or Friday. Should be fun to experience a weekend up there now that we're all of age (except one)

You gonna bring that sweet 90 or yours? It'd be sweet to see yours and HawkTique running together!

I grew up on Lake Delhi, my dad still lives out there year round. I know the Menge family fairly well. I hung out with Marty, not really the younger ones. We were all a bunch of ski bums. We used to get out around 6 and have great water for 2-3 hours. Late afternoons aren't bad either. Chris has it right though, weekdays were the best I've seen anywhere, resulting from the natural wind breaks.

Looks like you have a sweet setup there on the Miss. I'm very familiar with Bellevue.

That's sweet Hawk! I know Marty very well too, he was my boss last summer while I worked at the Marina he opened up on the Rez. www.scalespointe.com

I'm very good friends with his little bro Brian. We were roommates for a few years and ski together all the time. Good stuff!

Sweet deal that you know about Bellevue. We have the only 2 Nautiques in town...I still think that no one in the town has any idea what kind of boat they are seeing when they see ours...haha

I know all about that, I grew up wondering why anybody would have anything other than an inboard ski boat. Delhi is def a C.C. lake, but there were always a handful of Malibu's and Magnum's out there as well.

I've seen that. The Bowers' opened that up. Hartwick has a thing going with the Nautiques though. The old owner of Hartwick tried a couple brands that didn't work, Supra and Hydrodyne. Doug and Paul Bowers are real stand up guys though. It wouldn't surprise me to see more and more Moomba's out there. I'm not a hater, I like most inboards.

Why have I never seen the hawkboat in Bellevue?!

I just got it last June, and I'm still emarassed by the pastel yellow it its. I'm half way done with the wetsanding and buffing though. I'm sure I'll make it out your way this year, we have a lot of summer left. I'm sure Chris would probably be down with a road trip as well.

I can already tell you that we will have roughly 35 people on dad's beach for ski practice but that does not mean we can't have some nautique fun...After everyone leaves from practice the sun will be out and offers some good float time...
