I've been dealing with Mcmaster since about 1975 and today was the very first time I had to call and complain about a item. My last order with them that I got yesterday included a 1' length of galvanized flex steel tubing. This is the crank case vent tube running from the valve cover to the mouth of the carb on the Flexifour restoration. It was corroded!! Must have been a "drop off" that had been laying around the warehouse for awhile. Well, I can't say enough for Mcmaster! No questions asked and I'm getting a new piece no charge. I was almost embarrassed even calling them - this 1' length was $.95!!!

If you haven't dealt with the company before, give them a try. If they don't have something, it's probably not made plus, chances are high they will have it in stock!! I can only remember once when they didn't have a item in stock. I needed (for work) 8 pieces of a 2"-4 brass acme nut. They had 2 and the following week I had the remaning 6. I'm lucky in that their main warehouse is 15 minutes from me. If desperate, I can do a on line order or phone it in and they will have it at will call within a hour!

I only stumped them once and that was on a special LH threaded 1/4" brass pipe plug. I needed it for the CO2 gas regulator when I did the air horn conversion.

I gotta say I recently got a very poor piece of rub rail from them. It was sent as a temporary replacement section so I could finish the last bit of the Mustang, and it was absolute crap. scratches, bent, dings, etc. Very lame. I have only dealt with them a few times and always had good luck, but this piece sucked.

Mike,
Sorry to hear about the rub rail. Was it from bouncing around in the packaging? Usually they go overboard with their packing.
