I had the pleasure of meeting Hollywood, when his work schedule brought him to our neck of the woods, White Lake (according to his profile, it's his home town, though he didn't know anyone ). The boat wasn't in yet so we didn't get to ski. But we did have time for dinner and beers at the Inn.
I'm still puzzled as to why my wife woke up a 2:00am and said she thinks she left something on at the cottage (where Hollywood spent the night) and had to check on it.
But seriously, it was a pleasure meeting the Wood man, and he is proof that chivalry is alive and well. (or he plays a great Eddie Haskle )
Hollywood, your welcome any time (along with you other CCClowns). Next time, the boat will be in.
Beers are on me.

Hmmmm. Could it have anything to do with the fact that when he does short line off the boom, he doesn't need a rope?

Wood
We were at the cottage today, finishing up dock and hoist install, leveling, and was grabbing a couple of Smithwicks, Newcastles and Moose Drools, when I came upon a pleasant surpri$e. You didn't have to do that, but it was greatly appreciated. Like I've said, CCFanners are always welcome, and if Wood is a representative sample of the rest of you guys, the doors open, and the fridge is full.

I wondered why he had all those tube patching kits in the back seat of the caddy. I didn't see a tube in his boat... it all makes sense now

Hollywood, where'd you get the little bumpers you had on the 88? The ones with the suction cups?
I need to order a couple

They are TaylorMades, and can probably be found at any local boating store. I got mine from BoatersDiscount??? by my office which has since closed. Johnny bought his online (white only) at the same place, saving enough money to cover the "memmbership" due. Free shipping and no tax as well. I then modified foam jet ski bumpers because I don't like the adjustable straps because they never get tight enough and don't give. I like it tight.
Bass Boat/Low Freeboard bumper
No thanks, and I could only find them in green or blue. Didn't feel like making my own either since I wanted bungee. $13.99 and you only get 2 cups.
Same exact suction cups, with elastic chord. I removed the pad and use it elsewhere (boom cable, etc.). $22.99 and you get 4 cups.
