I'm looking on some info on what and where these three wires are/go? Two are off my alternator and one is from my wire loom. While spring cleaning I noticed them. They haven't been plugged in for over a year, as long as I've owned the boat. 
Also in the quest to fix my oil on the inside of my doghouse I ordered a new tranny dip stick. My old one's rubber on the underside was cracked and rotted. ------------- 87' 2001 |

I will try to pull my cover and look tomorrow if no one beats me to it. Does it run? I thought most of those wires were pretty important. looks like the wire to the temp gauge sending unit that I don't see in the intake. Everything works? Chris is correct on the tan wire being the proper color for the temp sender. I have a tan hooked up to my temp sender. The wire in question is tan or faded orange with a red stripe. I've checked the wiring diagram and no wire like this exists on it. ------------- 87' 2001 |
