Is the circulation pump went on my boat . It is a 1985 351 pcm . Can i just go to an auto parts store and pick up an automotive water pump ?

a true marine waterpump (circ pump) will have a bronze or non ferrous type impeller, and a different seal. the problem is a car pump typically uses antifreeze which utilizes rust inhibitors and lubes for the seal...can you use an automotive....you decide, only in the instance of a closed cooling system

Careful with getting the proper rotation. Some will be rotation specific. There are also dual rotation circ pumps but they are less efficient because the impellers have straight radial blades.
