Looking to get a new bilge pump as mine wasn't working last fall on the Ski Tique. It was locked up and wouldn't spin so I pulled it this spring. Any suggestions on selecting a new one?
Ski Dim only has http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=6031726 - one listed. I want to say mine was a 2 wire unit tho.

I don't have any experience with these but this is the unit I recently purchased - the 750GPH unit, $32:

Thanks Frank, I was looking at those as well. I found a place here in Des Moines that stocks them for pretty cheap.

Chris,
I have that sam Sahara pump DIM sells. It seems to wrk good. It was only wired two wire from the PO and you can set it up that way, no problem. I wired up 3-wire when I put things back together this time so now my switches work right. One switch turns it on, the other puts it in automatic mode. One thing I'm trying to figure out that I noticed is it turns on and off with the hand knob even with all powerturned off to the dash and bilge. Is it supposed to do that? Anyone know?

BTW I have the rule mate, thats its supposed to work as automatic and manual with no use of the float switch and it should allow to run with the 2 dash circuits manual and auto..

I just got mine working correctly last weekend, or at least close. I had a bad breaker and picked one up locally but it is just a breaker, not a switch. I hooked the automatic to breaker so it is always on when the ignition is on. The switch is hooked up to manual. Someday I will get the right breaker switch again. Andy, the pump should not have any power to operate with the hand nob when both switches are off. You must have the automode hotwired somehow.

I have the rule 25S in my boat and we sell them also, they are really good as they are automatic but without a float switch that bounces around, they way i hook them up is the auto wires to the dash switch, when ever you want just flick the switch on, it will pup and when it senses there is less resistance on the pump ( no water flowing through) it will switch itself off, then test every 2 min again for water, meaning the pump will never burn itself out!

Just fix the leaks and you don't have to worry about a bilge pump!
The very best out there is a Lovett.

The Rule pumps are really pretty decent and I've never had a problem with them. I've actually used them for other applications as well. I made my own sump pump battery back up after the original Ace-in-a-hole gave up and they wanted $200 just for the PC control board. Then I also used one to build our ski clubs jump sprinkler system. With it, I used a Dart brand DC voltage control so the pump flow can be dialed in as well as provide a constant voltage maintaining constant water flow no matter what the battery condition/voltage is at. (to the point of max battery discharge set at 9.5 volts)
