BJ, Angola Canvas should have the template. I had inquired with Skiboatcovers.com a while back- I cant remember if they had the template or not- but it would be worth a call. Neither will be trailerable, but both should be acceptable mooring covers. They also offer a waterline option if you want to keep the sun off the sides. Sunbrella is the best fabric option, as its both breathable and water repellant, but its not cheap. Expect to pay $600 or so for a good mooring cover. Whatever you buy, make sure you let me know how it fits- we need one for our '79 as well! ------------- |

I always get my covers from http://www.angolacanvascompany.com/ - Angola Canvas as they are local for me. they do good work. The last cover a bought was SunBrella and I love it. wouldn't have any other material. Well worth the extra $$. Soon I'll be ordering one for the BFN.

Bought a Sunbrella cover at Angola Covers last December for my '92 BFN.
I know that the BFN's you guys are talking about are a bit different, just giving you an idea. Overall quality is good, with reinforcements and openings on the right places.. It fits well, about as tight as a custom made/measured on the boat cover. I changed the standard rope for an elastic alternative for better and easier fit. The only issue I have is that the folds and stitches for the windshield are about 1 inch too far to the back. Cost were about 60% versus a custom made cover here in Holland! However, this will be different now due to a expensive $. Communication with Angola is best by phone.

I love my Rankin ( $900.00) but they are out of business. However, some of the old employees are back in business in Washington State. The guys on the Malibu Crew web-site speak well of the new company, or so I have heard. I wish I had spent the extra $200 for side covers. Mine is also Sunbrella and you can tow with it on the boat. They use no poles at all. I also know that Matt S. at Race City Marine in Mooresville, NC has a line of covers that he sells and highly recommends. You may want to give Matt a call.
