I converted mine to the remote kit using the Ford filter. You should do the same. Order the conversion from Bruce at N3 Boatworks. Installing the kit will be the last pain in the ass oil change you have to do on your boat. Filter changes on that beast are a total nightmare. You need to be a 115lb right handed contortionist. None of which I am.

Andy, IIRC it is the same as for the 454. I think there are two sizes capacity wise. I do not remember which I used. I want to say the larger of the two, but it affects your ability to get it in there correctly.
Have you actually changed the filter before? The side panels are the least of your worries... Mine was a nightmare without the ballast tank or the panels. Bring a couple baggies to try and catch the oil filter in as it comes off. And a lot of paper towels...
Back to the lake! Just came up to make a Python sized mojito!!

Wow. What happened?
The filter is on the starboard side, way underneath the engine. Everything is in the way. The best thing to do is get it loosened a little, get a big ziplock bag around it and start spinning it off. As it comes off it will get really hard to get any grip on it because of the oil that comes out. once it comes off you have to wiggle and turn it a bit, it comes out a little forward of where it is mounted. You have to try to not catch the bag on anything cause it will rip and make a huge mess.
